About the role
- Oversight of the design, implementation, and support of Azure cloud infrastructure
- Building scalable, secure, and efficient Azure environments across both Azure Government and Commercial platforms
- Lead the development of cloud solutions that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
- Mentor team members and provide technical guidance
- Recommend impactful solutions that help drive business success
- Architect, deploy, and manage end-to-end Azure environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security
- Develop, review, and optimize Terraform code in HCL to automate infrastructure provisioning and management
- Coordinate with the Security team to conduct risk assessments and implement security best practices
- Track and manage tasks using tools like ServiceNow and Microsoft Planner
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including architecture diagrams and operational procedures
- Provide timely support for Azure-related issues to ensure minimal downtime.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
- 3+ years of Terraform experience
- Terraform certification: Ability to acquire Terraform Associate within first 6 months of hire
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Policy as Code (PaC), configuration management, production support
- Proven expertise developing code in at least one high-level programming language and one or more scripting language
- Ability to write simple, effective, and scalable code
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification
- Terraform certification: Terraform Associate
- Proficiency with tools such as PowerShell, Azure DevOps, Git, VisualCode
- Experience migrating workloads between on-premises environments and Azure
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross-functional teams and manage complex technical projects
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
