About the role
- Responsible for leading and managing company’s process safety initiatives and programs.
- Developing and implementing safety procedures.
- Conducting risk assessments.
- Ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Conducting process hazard analysis (PHA’s).
- Analyzing processes for explosive safety and generating technical reports.
- Conducting regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
- Performing risk assessments and enforcing preventative measures.
- Leading incident investigations and developing reports outlining findings.
- Facilitating safety training sessions for employees and managers.
- Monitoring the implementation of safety initiatives and programs.
- Providing guidance on technical and process safety issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant Manufacturing Engineer experience.
- Graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related Manufacturing Engineer experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related Manufacturing Engineer experience.
- Experience as a Process Safety Manager or similar role in a related field.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Experience with conducting safety audits and inspections.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing preventative measures.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g. CSP, CIH).
- Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices.
- Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety.
