About the role
- Participate in the design of detail parts, assemblies, and installations for aircraft structures, mission equipment installations, and mechanical systems installations
- Responsible for research, development of layouts, preparation of engineering drawings, and coordination of design activities with Tooling, Flight Sciences, Manufacturing, and Production
- Able to lead engineers in the design of detail parts, assemblies, and large installations for aircraft structure modifications
- Incorporate feedback from multiple parties and stakeholders into their designs and installation packages
- Review and approve the design of detail parts and assemblies to support aircraft modification installations
- Designs will be accomplished using world-class, three-dimensional solid modeling CAD tools
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with six (6) years of Mechanical Engineering experience within the Aerospace industry
- Graduate Degree with four (4) years of Mechanical Engineering experience within the Aerospace industry
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of (10) years of Mechanical Engineering experience within the Aerospace industry
- Must be a US Citizen
- CAD skills are highly desired (NX/Unigraphics Preferred, ProE, Catia)
- Active Secret Clearance
