About the role
- Oversee and optimize the end-to-end flow of material across defense manufacturing lines
- Coordinate with buyers, major subcontractors, production control, and procurement teams
- Prioritize high-impact tasks such as order fulfillment, PR coordination, PO placement, material tracking, and sales planning
- Maximize cash profit and lead negotiations
- Actively monitor material status from procurement through delivery
- Engage in sales and strategic planning to align material availability with demand
- Influence supplier and subcontractor negotiations for favorable terms
- Develop sourcing strategies and identify supply risks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
- Experience in production control, supply chain, or materials management in the defense or aerospace sectors
- Familiarity with DFARS, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations, and military contracting requirements
- Experience with Integrated Master Plans (IMP/IMS), or military program management tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
