About the role

  • Provide creative and innovative design solutions that meet product requirements for high performance, high pressure pneumatic mechanisms/systems.
  • Work closely with a broad team from engineering and operations to collaborate on effective solutions to design challenges.
  • Support conceptual and detail design processes by using your background in CAD design and drawings.
  • Provide support to structural and thermal analysis tasks including first order hand calculations and FEA.
  • Present data in design review settings (e.g. PDR, CDR), both internal and external.
  • Provide strong contributions to the overall product design dialogue from inception to production.
  • Provide hands-on support during development, integration and test activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
  • Graduate Degree or equivalent with 4 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Requires ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance.
  • 3+ years professional CAD design experience, including part, and assembly-level modeling in a mechanical design software such as Creo, NX, Catia, SolidWorks, or SolidEdge.
  • 3+ years of CAD drafting skills with the ability to interpret and create 2D drawings.
  • Professional experience with structural analysis methods using hand calculations.
