About the role
- Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of standards, methods, and procedures to inspect, test, and evaluate products
- Lead, direct, and review the work of a team of Quality Technicians
- Plans and establish goals, objectives, tasking, coaching, and support for a team
- Works to achieve programmatic and personnel operational targets
- Contribute to the development of goals and planning efforts
- Continuously looks for opportunities to improve processes, systems, solutions, or products
- Coordinate and lead resolution of non-conformances
- Review product drawings and documents for compliance
- Runs or supports investigations into discrepancies
- Leads material review board and PFMEA activities
- Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, supplier, and subcontractor representatives
- Perform audits of quality control processes
- Train team members on quality control processes
- Serves as the primary interface to customers and suppliers for quality issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 6 years prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- Top Secret/SCI US Security Clearance w/ Poly Preferred
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma
- Experience working programs requiring compliance to AS9100D
- ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Experience with Oracle Agile PLM, Windchill, Cincom, and DOORS software suites
- Supplier Quality / Supplier Development experience
