About the role

  • Oversee professional accounting activities
  • Apply principles of accounting to review and analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital to ensure the accurate delivery of financial reports
  • Support monthly financial close and analysis functions, by reviewing journal entries, including period end accruals to the general ledger, reviewing account reconciliations and related analysis
  • Participate in Management’s monthly review of financial statements
  • Evaluate and implement improvements in processes and systems to enhance performance of job area
  • Investigate the root cause of accounting discrepancies and/or problems
  • Support audit activities and requests from external, internal and DCAA auditors, including annual walkthrough and testing of SOX controls
  • Provide leadership and direction to experienced professionals, including guiding their growth and career development

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant accounting experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related accounting experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related accounting experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot table and lookup functionality
  • Experience with Oracle ERP system
  • MBA or CPA
