About the role
- Work performed under limited supervision
- Must be experienced in OSHA 1910 General Industry
- Perform hazard analysis and risk assessments
- Assists in accident investigations and recommends corrective actions
- Conduct routine audits and inspections to identify and eliminate non-compliance issues
- Manage projects related to energetics and safety
- Conduct training and communication campaigns to raise site-wide awareness
- Serve as interface and liaisons with employees, manager, customers, auditors, and regulators
- Some travel required <5%
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior Safety Engineering experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior Safety Engineering experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior Safety Engineering experience
- 5 years’ experience working in an Aerospace manufacturing environment
- 5 years’ experience in OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry
- Experience in OSHA 29 CFR 1926 experience is desired
- Strong knowledge of standards, OSHA, OSHA PSM, NFPA, NEC, and ANSI
- Experience in project management is desired
- Excellent problem-solving skills are essential
- Ability to work within a high pressure and fast-paced environment
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) 4145.26M is desired
- Experience and/or training knowledge of Confined Spaces, Fall Protection, Lock Out Tag Out, Machine Guarding, Electrical Safety NFPA 70E and Propellant, Energetics & Pyrotechnics.
