About the role

  • Work performed under limited supervision
  • Must be experienced in OSHA 1910 General Industry
  • Perform hazard analysis and risk assessments
  • Assists in accident investigations and recommends corrective actions
  • Conduct routine audits and inspections to identify and eliminate non-compliance issues
  • Manage projects related to energetics and safety
  • Conduct training and communication campaigns to raise site-wide awareness
  • Serve as interface and liaisons with employees, manager, customers, auditors, and regulators
  • Some travel required <5%

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior Safety Engineering experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior Safety Engineering experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior Safety Engineering experience
  • 5 years’ experience working in an Aerospace manufacturing environment
  • 5 years’ experience in OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry
  • Experience in OSHA 29 CFR 1926 experience is desired
  • Strong knowledge of standards, OSHA, OSHA PSM, NFPA, NEC, and ANSI
  • Experience in project management is desired
  • Excellent problem-solving skills are essential
  • Ability to work within a high pressure and fast-paced environment
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) 4145.26M is desired
  • Experience and/or training knowledge of Confined Spaces, Fall Protection, Lock Out Tag Out, Machine Guarding, Electrical Safety NFPA 70E and Propellant, Energetics & Pyrotechnics.
