About the role
- Independently purchase assortments while adhering to the planned purchasing budget
- Plan sales and assortment strategies in coordination with the Head of Buying
- Develop, optimize and manage the merchandise assortment based on analyses
- Lead and participate in negotiations on terms and conditions with suppliers
- Monitor competitors and market trends with a focus on customer profiles
- Maintain regular communication with the department manager for your buying areas
- Contribute to marketing initiatives and product topics for promotional activities
Requirements
- University degree (Bachelor or Master) in business administration or a fashion-related field
- Several years of professional experience as a buyer in the sport fashion / lifestyle sector
- Assertive with entrepreneurial thinking and a business-minded approach
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable recommendations
- Creative in idea generation; able to design and further develop new processes
- Passion for fashion and trends
