About the role
- You drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing efficiency opportunities in packaging development and production processes — delivering measurable results such as improved quality, optimized material and transport usage, and reduced scrap.
- You develop prototypes and conduct tests to evaluate functionality and practical suitability.
- You coordinate the procurement of packaging materials and equipment with Purchasing and suppliers.
- You collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth integration of packaging solutions into production.
- You support Marketing in the development and revision of packaging, taking the entire packaging lifecycle into account.
Requirements
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Packaging Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A Master's degree is an advantage.
- You have 3–5 years of experience as a packaging engineer or in a related role within the packaging industry, ideally in FMCG, the food industry, or the chocolate sector.
- You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
- You have effective communication and coordination skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- You are fluent in German and have good English skills.
