About the role
- Provide network support for mission critical network systems for L.A. CARE
- Troubleshoot IP equipment/LAN/WAN problems
- Perform routine administration tasks and performance tuning
- Act as a lead and escalation point for network staff
- Support and maintain firewall and network security policies
- Implement new technologies for the network environment
- Participate in Disaster Recovery Exercises
- Oversee daily workflow and lead work of assigned staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 5 years of related experience
- At least 3 years of leading process, program, or staff experience
- Working knowledge of network equipment and software (Cisco Routers, Switches, firewalls, F5 Bigip, IPS/IDS, LAN/WAN)
- Working knowledge in routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP and OSPF
- Working knowledge in Layer 2 network switching such as VLAN, Trunking, VTP and others
- Working knowledge in advanced network troubleshooting
