About the role

  • Provide network support for mission critical network systems for L.A. CARE
  • Troubleshoot IP equipment/LAN/WAN problems
  • Perform routine administration tasks and performance tuning
  • Act as a lead and escalation point for network staff
  • Support and maintain firewall and network security policies
  • Implement new technologies for the network environment
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery Exercises
  • Oversee daily workflow and lead work of assigned staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 5 years of related experience
  • At least 3 years of leading process, program, or staff experience
  • Working knowledge of network equipment and software (Cisco Routers, Switches, firewalls, F5 Bigip, IPS/IDS, LAN/WAN)
  • Working knowledge in routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP and OSPF
  • Working knowledge in Layer 2 network switching such as VLAN, Trunking, VTP and others
  • Working knowledge in advanced network troubleshooting
