About the role
- Overall responsibility for the functional and disciplinary leadership of the department
- Responsible for ensuring monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and HGB standards and for overseeing financial accounting/fixed assets accounting, cost accounting and IT
- Support in the preparation of annual financial statements
- Preparation, monitoring and analysis of master plans and forecasts
- Preparing data for meaningful presentations
- Preparation of ad-hoc analyses for management
- Support in controlling, planning and optimizing business processes
- Support in implementing strategic and operational decisions
- Informing management whether and which targets have been achieved
- Project controlling
- Accounts receivable / accounts payable / fixed assets accounting as well as controlling
- Reporting to group controlling in the USA
- Point of contact for auditors and tax auditors
Requirements
- Completed degree: Business Administration with a focus on Finance & Accounting or Controlling, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in the finance area
- IT skills: very good MS Office and ERP knowledge and experience with SAP FI-CO
- Language skills: fluent English, spoken and written
- Soft skills: strong analytical skills and good communication skills in an international environment
