About the role
- Strategic leadership and development of a European legal team
- Legal counsel to the executive management and business units, particularly on contract, corporate, employment, data protection and compliance matters
- Contract management: review, drafting and negotiation of complex agreements with business partners
- Identification, assessment and mitigation of legal risks in an international business environment
- Monitoring regulatory developments across Europe and advising management on their legal implications
- Support for M&A activities, including legal due diligence and coordination of external law firms
- Assisting business units in complying with internal policies and statutory requirements
- Designing, delivering and continuously improving internal legal training and governance measures
Requirements
- Degree: Fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist) with two successfully completed state examinations or an equivalent qualification
- Several years of relevant professional experience in a comparable in-house role or at a commercial law firm, ideally in an international environment
- Leadership experience in managing and developing a team
- Expertise: solid knowledge of corporate and commercial law and related legal areas
- Language skills: excellent German and English, both written and spoken
