About the role
- Strategic leadership and further development of a European legal team
- Legal advice to the Executive Board and business units, particularly on contract, corporate, employment, data protection and compliance law
- Contract management: review, drafting and negotiation of complex agreements with business partners
- Identification, assessment and mitigation of legal risks in an international business environment
- Monitoring regulatory developments across Europe and advising management on legal implications
- Support for M&A projects, including legal due diligence and coordination of external law firms
- Assisting business units in complying with internal policies and statutory requirements
- Designing, delivering and improving internal legal training and governance measures
Requirements
- Degree: Fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist) with two successfully completed state examinations or equivalent qualification
- Several years of relevant professional experience: in a comparable in-house legal role or at a corporate law firm, ideally in an international environment
- Leadership experience: proven experience in leading and developing a team
- Expertise: solid knowledge of corporate/commercial law and related legal areas
- Language skills: very good written and spoken German and English
