About the role
- Responsible for determining requirements, procuring and awarding manufacturing parts, assembly units and plant accessories
- Obtaining and evaluating quotations as well as coordinating technical inspections/tests
- Coordinating and monitoring ongoing orders to ensure product quality and compliance with technical and scheduling requirements
- Independently handling procurement processes, including price and contract negotiations with national and international suppliers
- Conducting price and value analyses and optimizing the procurement situation
- Establishing, maintaining and developing supplier relationships
- Handling supplier complaints and initiating appropriate corrective measures
- Performing supplier evaluations and initiating development measures
- Qualifying and auditing suppliers, including on-site visits
Requirements
- Completed vocational training plus further qualification as a technician/master craftsman or an equivalent qualification
- Professional experience in technical procurement, ideally within an industrial environment
- Expertise in materials, welding technology and mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes
- Experience with the confident handling of technical drawings and documentation
- Good written and spoken English skills
