About the role

  • Analyze problems and tech issues, offer solutions, and test, modify, automate, and integrate systems.
  • Long-range strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operational execution.
  • Provide analysis, documenting and diagraming work for hand-off.
  • Collaborate with Architects, Technicians, and PMs throughout the lifespan of projects.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge in Z/OS upgrade and Maintenance.
  • Configuration and customization of base components including JES2.
  • Extensive experience in a multiple CPU environment
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting high-priority and performance issues within a z/OS environment
  • Strong knowledge of SMP/E
  • Good understanding of WLM, RMF, HCD, and ISV products
  • Implementation of secure network and maintenance of TCPIP / VTAM and related network products.
  • Proficiency in REXX, Assembler, and JCL
  • Familiarity with VTAM/TCPIP network administration
  • Experience with tools like ZOSMF and/or ZOWE
  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
