About the role

  • Solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services
  • Manage systems data for clients and provide day-to-day solutions and security compliance
  • Oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions

Requirements

  • Minimal 10 years experience configuring and troubleshooting zSeries Communication Services VTAM, TCPIP, TN3270
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Netview, Mainview or Omegamon
  • Familiarity with Connect:Direct and Connect:Direct File Agent
  • Experienced in the use of SMPE
  • Experience in the use of REXX and/or Netview REXX
  • Ability to use AI tools to analyze data and provide recommendations and implement solutions
  • Ability to use M365 Copilot AI to recap meetings and draft emails
  • Ability to stay educated in the role of AI for a LinuxOne System Programmer
