About the role
- Contribute to current projects where you analyze problems and tech issues, offer solutions, and test, modify, automate, and integrate systems
- Long-range strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operational execution
- Deal with both client expectations and internal challenges
- Collaborate closely with Architects, Technicians, and PMs throughout the lifespan of a project
Requirements
- 8+ Years Experience in Mainframe z/OS System Programming
- Deep understanding of z/OS operating system architecture and features
- Deep knowledge of z/OS Facilities, Parallel Sysplex, GDPS
- Hands-on experience on SAD, GTF trace concepts
- Led multiple complex IBM and ISV product upgrades and related projects
- Proficiency in z/OS system programming languages like assembler and REXX
- Expertise in system management tools like SMPE (Software Management Program Entry) and z/OSMF
- Knowledge of mainframe hardware configurations and I/O management
- Experience with system monitoring and performance analysis tools
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Can act as the technical lead on internal team projects or participate on project teams that impact the z/OS platform.
