About the role

  • Design, implement, and maintain integrations between Workday and other systems.
  • Develop integration solutions that meet business needs by designing and configuring Workday integrations using tools such as Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), and Workday Web Services (WWS).
  • Create data mapping and transformation rules to ensure that data flows accurately between Workday and other systems.
  • Utilize RESTful and SOAP APIs for integrating Workday with external applications and systems, ensuring data is exchanged correctly.
  • Perform comprehensive testing of integrations to validate that they function correctly, handle errors appropriately, and meet business requirements.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve integration issues, providing ongoing support to ensure seamless operation.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of integration designs, configurations, data mappings, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and compliance.
  • Work closely with functional consultants, IT teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand integration needs, and ensure successful implementation.
  • Manage and implement changes to integrations, including updates and enhancements, while minimizing disruptions to existing systems.
  • Monitor the performance of integrations and address any performance issues to maintain efficient data flows.
  • Ensure that integrations comply with data security standards and organizational policies, implementing proper security measures and authentication protocols.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Workday HCM integrations – development, maintenance & support.
  • Proficiency with Workday's integration tools and technologies, including Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), and Workday Web Services (WWS).
  • Skills in integrating Workday with external systems, such as ERP, CRM.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as XSLT for data transformation and scripting languages like JavaScript or Groovy for custom integrations.
  • Experience with RESTful and SOAP APIs to connect Workday with other systems and applications.
  • Familiarity with various data formats like XML, JSON, and CSV for data exchange and transformation.
  • Understanding of database concepts and SQL for managing and querying data.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and authentication methods, such as OAuth and SAML, to ensure secure data exchange.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug integration issues to ensure seamless operation.
  • Experience with testing and validating integrations to ensure they meet business requirements and work correctly in various scenarios.
  • Skills in managing changes to integration configurations and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
