About the role

  • Replacement of an existing application through a complete redevelopment
  • Analyze requirements together with domain experts in workshops
  • Design and implement an appropriate software solution based on .NET, cloud technologies and data pipelines
  • Migrate a relational system into the data lakehouse to be designed
  • Implement new or existing data interfaces and services
  • Take ownership of the backend and an end-user frontend
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the legacy system
  • Apply modern DevOps practices to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the software

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification
  • Strong knowledge of C# (.NET Core) and Python
  • Practical experience with distributed systems, ideally in an AWS cloud environment or with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Practical experience with data lake technologies, such as Databricks or AWS Athena and Apache Spark
  • Hands-on experience in professional software development (e.g., Dependency Injection, mocking, TDD, CI/CD pipelines)
  • Confident handling of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and general familiarity with AWS technologies
  • Proficient with Azure DevOps, Jira or GitLab, GIT version control and agile working methods (Scrum)
  • Good English and German language skills required
