About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform requirements gathering necessary to design and build complex Public Safety & Emergency Management systems of enterprise monitoring system for related projects.
- Manage the design of the Enterprise Monitoring Solution meeting Public Safety & Emergency Management needs related to monitoring and alerting requirements.
- Develop and design VISIO or CAD type engineering drawings, bill of materials and technical specifications.
- Plan and coordinate the design of system hardware and software for monitoring systems.
- Manage validation of systems for functionality, performance, fault tolerance and operational readiness.
- Coordinate technical specifications and bill of materials discussions.
- Provide oversight of IT consultants and staff; manage vendor relationships.
- Ensure adherence to PMO methodology and development standards.
- Engage in PMO functions including budget monitoring, communication plans, and risk management.
- Review project artifacts including requirements, UX design, architecture, testing and implementation documentation.
- Manage training plans and future support needs.
- Manage project closeout and knowledge transfer.
- Support process improvement aligned with PMBOK and PSEM methodologies.
- Report project status to senior management and stakeholders.
- Support PMO functions including change requests, scheduling and reporting.
- Address client concerns and manage risks and issues.
- Manage special projects and initiatives.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Event Management and Public Safety Emergency Services
- Functional understanding of routing protocols and data delivery techniques
- Minimum 8 years overseeing medium to large scale projects
- Knowledge of Operations Management including Service Desk, Help Desk, and Datacenter
- Functional knowledge of Operating Systems, Databases, and IT Infrastructure
- Experience with IT Service Management and Enterprise Monitoring tools
- In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Monitoring tools for Service Automation, Assurance, and Support
- Experience as focal point for project management, financial, administrative, and technical issues
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio
- Project management experience including planning and scheduling with dependencies
- Strong technical leadership in large-scale enterprise environments for emergency services
