About the role
- Join the Fort Myers litigation practice handling civil litigation matters
- Draft and review substantive pleadings and motions
- Respond to motions and discovery
- Attend and chair hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
- Negotiate settlements
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Provide excellent client service
- Work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Use Word, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint & Excel to prepare and review documents
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience practicing law in the state of Florida
- Experience in civil litigation (First Party Property highly desired)
- Licensed member of the Florida Bar and in good standing
- Stellar academic credentials
- Strong legal research and excellent writing skills
- Strong/persuasive oral advocacy
- Previous experience in litigation, particularly Insurance Defense and/or First Party Property
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to clients; client-first mindset
- Highly organized with clear and concise communication style
- Self-starter and goal-oriented with a focus on long-term career goals
- Proficient in Word, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint & Excel
