About the role
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of case preparation and management for bodily injury and premises liability claims
- Draft and manage subpoenas and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant documentation
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all information is up to date and easily accessible
- Summarize medical records and bills; create medical chronologies and bill summaries
- Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases
- Use Word, Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Excel to prepare documents and manage files
- Manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently within a legal team
Requirements
- Over 3 years of experience in Insurance Defense, specializing in bodily injury and premise liability
- Prior experience in insurance defense litigation (general liability experience applicable)
- Prior experience reviewing and summarizing medical records and bills (preferred)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Florida Court procedures (preferred)
- Competent in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Excel
- Proficient in legal research and writing
- Ability to draft and manage subpoenas and other legal documents
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
