About the role

  • Provide financial management support, including budget formulation, execution tracking, and reconciliation of logistics funding accounts.
  • Support the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) system transaction processing, error resolution, and reporting.
  • Assist with Marine Corps Full Financial Statement Audit preparation, Key Supporting Documentation (KSD) review, and GAO inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards, status of funds reports, and variance analyses.
  • Support audit and compliance activities including business process reviews, internal control management, and audit support documentation.
  • Reconcile accounts, track unmatched transactions, and support revenue recording accuracy.
  • Coordinate with HQMC Comptroller, Deputy Commandants, and Military Service Components on financial reporting.
  • Develop and deliver training to end users on financial systems and procedures.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of DoD financial management or defense budget analysis experience.
  • Direct experience with the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) transaction processing, reporting, and module management.
  • Understanding of DoD audit requirements, FIAR, and financial statement audit processes.
  • Experience supporting Marine Corps financial management at HQMC or Service-level headquarters.
  • Proficiency with financial reporting tools, Excel (advanced), and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with RPA/automation tools for financial processing a plus.
  • Knowledge of GPC (Government Purchase Card) programs and oversight a plus.
  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • DAWIA Financial Management certification or CDFM preferred.
