About the role

  • Translate functional and system-level requirements into clear mechanical requirements, concepts, and detailed designs.
  • Develop high-quality 3D CAD models and production-ready 2D drawings for parts and assemblies.
  • Perform engineering analyses such as tolerance analysis, structural and thermal checks, and basic FEM where required.
  • Select appropriate materials, surface treatments, and manufacturing processes based on performance, cost, and quality targets.
  • Collaborate closely with electronics engineering teams to integrate mechanical designs with PCBs, wiring, connectors, sensors, actuators, and motors.
  • Define mechanical clearances, grounding concepts, and thermal constraints for electronics-integrated designs.
  • Support prototype builds, evaluation, and validation testing activities.
  • Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners, provide technical documentation, and support design and manufacturing reviews.
  • Maintain BOMs, drawings, revision control, and release documentation in a structured and traceable manner.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, internal design guidelines, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a product development or high-tech environment.
  • Strong proficiency in 3D CAD tools (e.g. NX, Creo, SolidWorks, or similar) and experience creating production-ready 2D drawings.
  • Experience integrating mechanical components with electronic systems, including enclosures, connectors, thermal solutions, and tolerance management.
  • Understanding mechanical–electrical interfaces and basic electronics or mechatronic systems (sensors, actuators, wiring, PCBs).
  • Experience with IPx-rated designs for harsh or outdoor environments.
  • Experience with tolerance analysis and basic FEM or similar analysis tools is a plus.
  • Thermal design knowledge related to electronics, such as ventilation strategies, heat sinking, and material selection, is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with DfM/DfA principles and collaboration with suppliers and manufacturing teams.
  • Experience with integrated motor systems is considered an advantage.
  • **Skills & Abilities Required**
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative and practical solutions.
  • Hands-on and pragmatic engineering mindset.
  • Clear and effective communication skills in both spoken and written English.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to learn new technologies and address integration challenges.
  • Able to work in a structured manner, documenting design decisions and following up on actions.
  • Comfortable contributing to cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced development environment.
