About the role

  • Utilize specialized knowledge of packaging machinery including conveyors, labelers, and inspection equipment to manage the electrical design, PLC and HMI programming as well as start-up and troubleshooting of the automation control systems
  • Manage integration projects for Krones involving its packaging machinery as well as other manufacturer’s equipment owned by customer
  • Review customer specifications and collaborate with customers, Mechanical Engineering and vendors to understand and define system requirements
  • Responsible for the electrical integration of machinery to the control system
  • Create new and/or modify existing electrical schematics, electromechanical assemblies using 3D CAD, and parts lists to meet the customer requirements and specifications
  • Provide engineering support for construction and testing of control assemblies and during installation of system
  • Ensure project meets customer requirements and schedule

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 3 years of experience as a Controls Engineer
  • 3 years of experience with electric control circuits, variable frequency drives, and PLC and HMI programming
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time (domestic and foreign)
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Allen Bradley ControlLogix, Siemens S7, TIA, B&R Automation, UL 508, ISO 13849 Safety Standards, TUV Certification a plus
