About the role
- Specification, development, maintenance and documentation of software modules for machine control in the area of additive systems
- Handling and leading innovative development projects in measurement, control and automation engineering
- Contributing to the software architecture in the PLC environment through a solid understanding of modularization
- Leading the commissioning of machines and prototypes
- Coordinating and prioritizing development tasks to efficiently implement the software roadmap
- Interface management between software development, project management and adjacent departments
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or vocational IT training with relevant professional experience
- Knowledge in network technology (Profinet, Modbus TCP, OPC-UA)
- Knowledge of additive manufacturing is an advantage
- Many years of professional experience in machine tools, CNC technology, automation technology, control technology (Siemens Sinumerik One) and PLC programming in the TIA Portal
- Experience with other PLC controllers is desirable, in particular PLC programming with Lasal Class
- Know-how in general computer science and relevant professional experience in programming machine controls
- Independent working style, resilience and confident manner
- Solid understanding of modularization and architecture in the PLC environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical relationships clearly
- Business-fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Willingness to undertake occasional worldwide business travel
