About the role
- Responsible for cost unit accounting: project billing, calculation of manufacturing costs (HK) and provisions for anticipated losses, and general support with month-end closing for project-related topics
- Conduct regular data-driven project reviews with project managers
- Present results to management, prepare lessons learned and follow up on corrective actions
- Develop a deep, including technical, understanding of project content and processes
- Develop and/or improve monthly project cost reporting with relevant KPIs and establish running calculations/project cost forecasts
- Promote cross-functional collaboration between Project Management, Engineering, Sales, Operations and Procurement
- Redesign and maintain the project structure (WBS)
- Identify opportunities and risks and develop appropriate strategies for risk mitigation based on profit forecasts
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or Business Informatics
- 3–5 years’ experience in project controlling in plant or mechanical engineering
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
- Basic knowledge of SAP R/3 modules (S/4HANA knowledge desirable)
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
- Experience in cost accounting, variance analysis and an understanding of technical project and execution topics
- Analytical and solution-oriented thinking, structured and independent working style as well as assertiveness complete your profile
