About the role

  • Lead and build a Client Engineering team of 5-10 engineers
  • Support Australian and New Zealand clients to deliver value
  • Responsible for team development, process improvements, and stakeholder relationships
  • Balance operational effectiveness, team wellbeing, technical leadership, and coordination with delivery/product groups
  • Oversee planning rituals and connect team delivery to company goals
  • Participate in hiring and team growth

Requirements

  • Experience building and leading teams of 5-10 engineers
  • Technical experience with Python and Django (or equivalent web framework)
  • Experience with domain modelling, HTTP and REST APIs
  • Experience writing robust and fault-tolerant software
  • Experience with Celery and async processing
  • Experience with Postgres, AWS
  • Familiarity with Terraform, Packer, Consul
  • Experience collaborating across multiple time zones
  • Experience in people leadership, running 1:1s, mentoring and coaching
