About the role
- Responsible for establishing and managing the joint venture with overall results accountability (P&L responsibility)
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
- Actively acquire and retain customers, suppliers and employees—especially by leveraging a robust network in the pharmaceutical and/or semiconductor industries
- Set up and manage efficient organizational structures and processes
- Refine and execute the business plan and overall corporate strategy with a focus on sustainable growth and market positioning
- Develop internal expertise through an integrated “Design & Build” approach
- Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve objectives
Requirements
- Degree in industrial engineering, business administration or engineering—ideally with a focus on the pharmaceutical or semiconductor industry
- Proven experience in business development and a strong network in the pharmaceutical industry are essential
- Solid understanding of engineering principles or relevant technologies
- Several years of experience in company or business unit leadership with P&L responsibility
- Demonstrable expertise in executing EPC projects
- Strong network in the Life Sciences/pharmaceutical or semiconductor market segments
- Fluent German and English; additional languages (e.g. French) are an advantage
- Strategic, entrepreneurial thinking combined with strong analytical skills
- Persuasive personality with a builder’s instinct
- High customer orientation, excellent communication skills and a hands-on mentality
