About the role

  • Responsible for establishing and managing the joint venture with overall results accountability (P&L responsibility)
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
  • Actively acquire and retain customers, suppliers and employees—especially by leveraging a robust network in the pharmaceutical and/or semiconductor industries
  • Set up and manage efficient organizational structures and processes
  • Refine and execute the business plan and overall corporate strategy with a focus on sustainable growth and market positioning
  • Develop internal expertise through an integrated “Design & Build” approach
  • Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve objectives

Requirements

  • Degree in industrial engineering, business administration or engineering—ideally with a focus on the pharmaceutical or semiconductor industry
  • Proven experience in business development and a strong network in the pharmaceutical industry are essential
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles or relevant technologies
  • Several years of experience in company or business unit leadership with P&L responsibility
  • Demonstrable expertise in executing EPC projects
  • Strong network in the Life Sciences/pharmaceutical or semiconductor market segments
  • Fluent German and English; additional languages (e.g. French) are an advantage
  • Strategic, entrepreneurial thinking combined with strong analytical skills
  • Persuasive personality with a builder’s instinct
  • High customer orientation, excellent communication skills and a hands-on mentality
