About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work closely with Partners and/or Directors on complex transactions to deliver exceptional advice and service
- Support the pursuit of new opportunities by working on proposals and joining pitches
- Develop and maintain client relationships alongside Deal Advisory
- Act as a key KPMG point of contact for clients, legal advisers, and other KPMG teams
- Coach and develop colleagues and collaborate with peers
- Prepare and oversee detailed technical advice covering UK and international tax issues
- Perform and oversee detailed analysis of tax-related documents and data
- Highlight key issues and articulate their commercial impact to clients
- Collaborate with UK and overseas tax specialists, critically analysing and challenging their input
- Maintain up-to-date tax technical knowledge regarding key UK and OECD developments
- Understand financial models from a tax perspective
- Contribute to Deal Advisory Tax thought leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- D Grade
- Qualified CTA or ACA/CA or equivalent
- Enthusiasm and keen interest in working on transactions
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good UK corporate tax knowledge
- Good analytical skills, curiosity, and ability to resolve issues and provide commercial advice
- Ability to work as part of a team and manage own workload
- Good Excel and PowerPoint skills
