About the role

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex agreements
  • Supporting the development of KPMG’s technology-based client offerings
  • Advising on the legal and risk aspects of new products and tools
  • Advising on commercial, risk and contractual issues
  • Providing ad hoc support on RFPs, engagement letters and other contractual documents
  • Acting as an escalation point for junior colleagues
  • Producing templates and guidance notes and delivering training to business teams
  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues in the UK and offshore
  • Managing a demanding workload and delivering high-quality work under pressure

Requirements

  • Approximately 7+ years post-qualification experience (PQE)
  • Demonstratable experience in commercial law and technology matters
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Experience drafting and negotiating complex, multi-jurisdictional master services agreements and technology-related contracts
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Effective risk management skills
  • Ability to provide pragmatic, solution-oriented advice
  • Experience advising in respect of AI matters (beneficial but not essential)
  • Experience working within regulated environments (beneficial)
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to build relationships and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders
