About the role
- Assist in complex contract review, drafting and negotiation across KPMG’s core capabilities
- Advise partners and senior stakeholders on a wide range of legal, risk and commercial issues
- Support KPMG’s technology based client offerings including SaaS licenses and use of third party IP and AI
- Work well under pressure with high volumes of requests
- Act as an escalation point for more junior colleagues
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with 6+ years PQE or a non-lawyer with significant experience in contract drafting and negotiation
- Strong negotiating skills
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex, multi-jurisdictional master services agreements
- Commercial awareness and effective risk management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in the UK and offshore
- Experienced, self-sufficient and proactive, with the ability to work independently as well as being a team player
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a demanding workload effective
- Ability to build relationships and act as a trusted advisor
- Ability to provide a pragmatic, solution oriented approach to complex legal and regulatory issues
- Flexibility and willingness to support colleagues in other groups
