About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Produce accurate, timely monthly financial reporting for the KPMG Executive & Board.
  • Deliver monthly and annual financial reporting, monthly management reporting, including undertaking ad-hoc analysis and corrective action for variances where required.
  • Lead the annual budget planning, forecasting and reporting processes.
  • Strengthen the effectiveness of internal processes and controls by identifying improvement opportunities and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency and financial integrity across the finance function.
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial records through oversight of key activities, including KPMG entity reporting, standing journals and allocations, and balance sheet reconciliations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.Com in Accounting or equivalent tertiary qualification and/or relevant professional qualification
  • Accounting Experience, minimum 5 years
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Word
  • IBS – KPMG’s SAP ERP
  • Experience in a professional services organisation
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to staff with differing levels of expertise and skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure and to perform to deadlines
  • Strong organisation skills; a self-starter with initiative and a common-sense approach to problem solving
  • Focus on continuous improvement within the finance function
  • High level of attention to detail
