About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide scheduled preventative maintenance to contract customers as assigned.
  • Provide on-demand corrective, 24/7 emergency, and paid services to customers as required.
  • Assist with start-up services as needed, working closely with the assigned installation specialists.
  • Report product quality issues to assigned Field Service Manager and file reports as directed/required.
  • Train KPI customers on system and maintenance operations.
  • Assist customers with part orders, consumables, repair and return of defective parts, and requests for information.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School / Trade School graduate or above.
  • 3-6 years field service experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge of Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
  • Self-starter with proven organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communications.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to learn and comprehend software programs to assist in the troubleshooting and maintenance of systems.
  • Practice safe work habits and abide by the safety rules in accordance with our client.
  • General knowledge and understanding of PLCs. i.e. inputs and outputs to and from devices.
  • Must have a strong customer focus and be able to build relationships and establish trust, respect, competence, and confidence effectively and quickly.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to use forklifts and personnel lifts (scissor lifts and boom lifts).
  • Ability to weld mild steel (optional).
  • Ability to install air piping. Copper or Aluminum (optional).
  • Travel required on average up to 70%.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs., walk long distances, and stand for long periods of time.
