About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Listen to internal and external clients to formulate and clarify their needs;
Propose different solutions and write recommendations, reports and other technical documents related to the domain;
Help clients consider new IT solutions and propose value‑added options;
Design the target functional, software and technical architecture of solutions;
Identify software components to be used in the solutions;
Contribute to the preparation of tender documents and to product selection;
Ensure integration, transition and alignment of the various platforms within the overall plan;
Monitor and support the development of business solutions;
Support development teams during project delivery;
Coordinate opportunity/feasibility studies, including technical and financial analyses, to choose among new or existing technologies and recommend the best modes of ownership, acquisition or consumption, whether operated internally or externally;
Identify risks and ensure the viability, functionality and integrity of solution architectures during migration, delivery, operation and maintenance phases;
Diagnose problematic situations and intervene to resolve complex issues, ensuring the implementation of permanent fixes, with a continuous improvement approach;

Requirements

What you’ll need

A minimum of seven (7) years of hands‑on experience in solutions architecture;
Experience delivering medium to large projects that include deploying a commercial solution coupled with integration to existing tools within the organization;
Experience working on projects in Agile mode;
Strong experience implementing cloud platforms;
Ability to write documentation and present application direction;
Excellent listening and communication skills and proven expertise in requirements elicitation;
Understanding and application of risk management principles and implementation of IT solutions to mitigate identified risks;
Strong analytical, modelling and technical skills;
Ability to assess the total cost of ownership (TCO) of an SOA solution architecture;
Deep knowledge of cloud solutions (Microsoft Azure);
Deep knowledge in API design and management (API Management) and RESTful design;
Strong knowledge of databases;
Knowledge of security services (logging, monitoring, identity and access management, etc.) and infrastructure/processing services such as storage, virtualization, databases, application servers and IT system failover/recovery;
Strong knowledge of programming languages and application frameworks, notably .NET Core and React;
Thorough knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), the DevOps movement, continuous integration, automated unit testing and Agile methodology;
Independent thinker with technological awareness enabling the integration of disparate concepts into original solutions.
