About the role
- Provide legal representation and counsel to Condominium, Homeowner, and Townhome Associations
- Conduct legal research and review documents to support client matters
- Draft, finalize, and record governing documents, opinion letters, and violation demand letters
- Advise Boards of Directors on governance issues, statutes, and compliance with governing documents
- Attend client Board meetings to provide legal guidance
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of condominium statutes
- Manage multiple tasks and deliver timely follow-up to Principal Attorneys and clients
- Participate in all Continuing Legal Education training
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- 3-10 years of experience
- Licensed in Illinois
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Trial and arbitration experience preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with the Illinois Condominium Property Act/Common Interest Community Association Act is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Desire to provide superior work product and client service
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Team player with ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
