About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Development and operation of sophisticated web applications across the full stack (frontend & backend)
Design and further development of APIs, databases and integrations
Refactoring of existing applications to improve scalability and maintainability
Contribution to multiple products at different maturity levels – including the gradual evolution of the contract generator toward a microservices architecture
Close collaboration with product owners: technical sparring and constructive questioning of requirements
Technical coordination with external development partners – you contribute your technical input
Participation in architectural decisions and technical guardrails – together with the team
Shaping development processes, testing and code quality

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience in fullstack development of web applications
Confident, hands-on experience with JavaScript and Vue.js or comparable frontend frameworks, and Java / Spring Boot on the backend
Experience designing and operating REST APIs and working with relational databases (MySQL)
Independent, solution-oriented working style and enjoyment of close collaboration in a small team
Willingness to think along with requirements and to question them constructively
Business-fluent German (C2) for collaboration within the team and with German service providers
Nice to have
Experience with scalable software architectures (e.g. microservices) and a sense for technical trade-offs
Experience coordinating and managing external service providers
Practical experience in testing, code reviews and CI/CD
Experience with Nginx, Liquibase, Keycloak / OAuth2
Interest in or experience with AI tools in engineering (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor)
Domain experience in the legal-tech or energy sector
