About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver engaging virtual and in-person training programs for employees across the organization.
- Design and implement comprehensive onboarding programs, including learning paths, orientation sessions, new hire communications, and 90-day development plans.
- Facilitate training on leasing, interviewing skills, customer service, leadership development, budgeting, financials, policies, procedures, and other operational topics.
- Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to develop learning solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Create step-by-step guides, videos, tutorials, learning modules, and other educational resources that improve knowledge retention and employee self-service.
- Manage employee learning within the Learning Management System (LMS), including enrollment, reporting, and participation tracking.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, participant feedback, performance metrics, and system utilization reports, continuously improving learning programs.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend targeted coaching, development plans, and leadership programming to support employee growth.
- Assist with leadership development initiatives and emerging talent programs.
- Maintain and coordinate the company-wide learning calendar, ensuring training opportunities are organized and accessible.
- Respond to employee training requests through the Learning & Development ticketing system.
- Coordinate training for new community lease-ups and acquisitions to support successful operational launches.
- Stay current on company policies, software, industry trends, and learning best practices to ensure training content remains accurate and effective.
- Assist with planning and facilitating company conferences, leadership meetings, and special learning initiatives.
- Support additional Learning & Development projects and organizational initiatives as needed.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Organizational Development, Education, Counseling, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of Learning & Development experience.
- 1–2 years of affordable housing, multifamily, or compliance experience preferred.
- Experience designing and facilitating both virtual and in-person training programs.
- Experience creating learning content, onboarding programs, job aids, tutorials, and learning pathways.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS); experience with video or audio editing software is a plus.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Experience with Canva, instructional design software, and Yardi Aspire is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as TCS, COS, DISC, Hogan, Myers-Briggs, StrengthsFinder, or Executive/Professional Coaching are preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to travel frequently, including occasional short-notice travel.
