About the role

  • Lead administration, monitoring, and optimization of SQL Server (2008–2022) environments
  • Develop, deploy, and optimize SSIS packages for ETL and data warehouse integration
  • Architect and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, including Always On, Log Shipping, Clustering, and Replication
  • Ensure database compliance with security best practices, encryption, and regulatory standards
  • Oversee logical and physical database design, creation, maintenance, and integrity
  • Manage backup, recovery, and failover strategies for critical systems
  • Automate administration tasks using PowerShell scripting
  • Provide administration support for MySQL databases
  • Mentor junior DBAs and collaborate across teams to improve performance and reliability

Requirements

  • More than six years of experience supporting enterprise database environments
  • Extensive expertise in SQL Server (2008–2022) administration, optimization, and troubleshooting
  • Strong skills in SSIS development, deployment, and tuning
  • Proven experience with HA/DR solutions: Always On, Log Shipping, Clustering, Replication
  • In-depth knowledge of database security best practices (encryption, compliance, auditing)
  • Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for database automation
  • Experience with data warehouse integration
  • Hands-on experience with MySQL administration
  • Familiarity with automation/orchestration frameworks (Ansible, Terraform) is a plus
  • Exposure to big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and modern data pipelines is a plus
