About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a full-time resource for comprehensive cross-site evaluation projects
  • Ensure successful execution of data collection, analysis, and reporting across multiple evaluation components
  • Oversee and lead large and complex evaluation projects within an organization
  • Manage project portfolios, define project strategies, and lead project teams
  • Ensure project quality and manage project risks
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project work plans, timelines, and evaluation plans
  • Coordinate all project activities across the base period and option periods
  • Maintain accountability for Firm-Fixed-Price budget enforcement and schedule adherence
  • Manage project scope, deliverables, and budget enforcement
  • Facilitate bi-weekly coordination calls with government staff and evaluation coordinators
  • Establish relationships with funded health departments and partner organizations
  • Monitor project performance daily and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with IRB protocols and informed consent procedures
  • Oversee human-based transcription and data cleaning processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master of Science degree and 8 years of experience or a Bachelor of Science degree and 10 years of experience in public health, social sciences, evaluation, or project management
  • 5 years managing large-scale evaluation projects ($1M+ budgets)
  • Demonstrated experience with federal contracts
  • Experience managing cross-site evaluations or multi-jurisdictional projects
  • Proven track record managing projects of similar scope and complexity
  • Experience managing full-time, multi-year contracts with consistent deliverables
  • Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection methods
  • Familiarity with public health program evaluation frameworks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.)
  • Knowledge of 508 compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with federal cooperative agreement structures
  • Experience with OMB/PRA clearance processes for data collection
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders
