About the role

  • Help shape the narrative for Kong’s API + Event Management products
  • Become a product expert across API and Event Management products
  • Develop and maintain seller content including solution briefs and white papers
  • Act as a thought leader in the API and Event management space
  • Collaborate with Product to shape the roadmap
  • Partner with Field Enablement to build sales plays and pitch frameworks
  • Work closely with Demand Gen and Content teams
  • Monitor the competitive landscape across API management and Event management tooling vendors

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience
  • Experience in developer infrastructure, API management, cloud-native, or data streaming technologies
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into crisp narratives
  • Track record of developing product launches and sales enablement materials
  • Highly collaborative—ability to work across teams and influence without authority
  • Comfortable owning a stage: keynote presentations and analyst briefings
  • Experience in open-source software, SaaS platforms, and enterprise go-to-market motions preferred
  • Familiarity with API connectivity and Event landscape is a strong plus
