About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with suctioning, PEG feeding and medication administration.
  • Support the child with epilepsy management and other health needs, responding appropriately to medical emergencies.
  • Assist with moving and handling and daily personal care routines.
  • Support the child’s learning, development, and engagement within the classroom environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, healthcare professionals, and family members to provide consistent, high-quality care.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience with children.
  • Compassion, resilience and flexibility.
  • Confidence in providing care to children with complex needs.
  • Confidence in working 2:1.
  • Warm & bubbly approach, willing to engage and show empathy.
  • A team-first attitude and commitment to delivering person-centred care.
  • Level 2 or 3 NVQ/QCF in health care is desirable.
