About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own and elevate the end-to-end product design experience while leading a senior design function that reshapes how we create impactful, AI-driven learning products.
Shape and influence product vision, strategy, and cross-functional decision-making, ensuring design is a core driver in how we build products in the AI era
Lead, coach, and grow a team of senior product designers, building a high-performing design function that raises the bar on quality and impact
Partner closely with Product, Tech, and Pedagogy leadership to define solutions and priorities, ensuring strong alignment between user needs, business goals, and learning outcomes
Build and evolve scalable design practices and AI-enabled ways of working, increasing team efficiency, speed, and product quality
Own the end-to-end design quality and user experience, focusing efforts on the highest-impact opportunities while defining how UX is measured and contributing hands-on when needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

An experienced product design leader with a product-first mindset - able to think beyond design craft, identify high-impact opportunities, and prioritise based on user and business value
Deep passion for AI, with a drive to actively explore, challenge, and redefine how AI transforms product development, design roles, and ways of working
An entrepreneurial approach, thriving in ambiguity, taking ownership, and driving progress with speed
Strong leadership capability, able to challenge, inspire, and elevate a team while fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment
Strong communication skills, with genuine curiosity about people and a collaborative, low-ego approach, paired with the confidence to lead both teams and stakeholders
