About the role
- Develop deep subject matter expertise in hospital and health system operational and financial drivers of net revenue.
- Assist in the net revenue month-end close process for core clients.
- Complete analytical work on one-time engagements or special projects.
- Deliver results to clients.
- Coach less experienced team members.
- Periodically participate in business development and sales activities.
Requirements
- 2+ years in a consulting organization or hospital and health system environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting preferred but not required. CPA license preferred but not required.
- Must have strong analytical skills and familiarity with working with complex financial data sets.
- Must have a strong understanding of cash versus accrual basis of accounting.
- Must have a baseline understanding of the interaction between balance sheet, income statement, and the cash flow statement.
- Must have a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with others within a team-oriented environment.
- Must be comfortable with data and technology.
- Must have a strong reputation and references with previous employers, clients, contacts, etc.
- Requires strong written and verbal communication including effective presentation skills.
- Ability to manage working on multiple projects and under conflicting deadlines concurrently.
- An understanding of Healthcare financial accounting and reporting, including reimbursement, month-end close, and net revenue analysis, is preferred but not required.
