About the role
- At Koala Health, assist in retrieval, processing, and fulfillment of pets' medication therapies. Develop and evolve operational policies and procedures guiding core functions. Help shape best practices for world-class customer experience. Assist pharmacist in retrieving prescription refills from veterinarian prescribers. Follow up with patients to clarify questions and provide updates on orders. Assist pharmacist in filling prescription items as permitted by the state board of pharmacy. Run automated machinery to pre-sort and package medications. Fill exception trays with appropriate medication. Work with Operations to ensure right medications in right pouches. Transition orders through workflow stages from dispense through quality control. Count and fill prescription vials and affix labels. Pack and ship completed orders, print and affix labels. Sort and triage boxes for shipping. Assist Operations with receiving, shipping, counting, and packing. Clean and maintain equipment and work areas.
Requirements
- Willing to obtain a Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy Registered Technician Trainee License High school diploma or equivalent 6+ months of experience working with computer and web based tools Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member Demonstrated organization skills and attention to detail Ability to recognize and identify patient medications Ability to multitask and prioritize in a rapidly evolving startup environment Experience working in a fast-paced work environment while consistently meeting standards for productivity and quality Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized, self-starter capable of working independently
