About the role

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with primary and specialty care clinicians (focus on OBGYN, fertility, pediatrics, psychology/psychiatry, orthopedics, cardiac, sleep, bariatric surgery) and their offices
  • Engage providers and office staff through regular visits, lunch & learns, calls, and communications to educate on knownwell's weight management programs
  • Train and empower office staff (schedulers, medical assistants, nurses) as referral drivers and provide referral workflow handouts and patient registration tools
  • Act as primary point of contact for clinicians to address questions, concerns, and feedback about knownwell's services
  • Conduct presentations and informational sessions to increase awareness of obesity treatment options and knownwell's comprehensive approach
  • Leverage specialty-specific value propositions, outcomes data, case studies, and local referral success metrics to support provider education
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding weekly and monthly referral growth targets; own activity pipeline including new provider meetings, expansion meetings, and active referral conversations
  • Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to streamline the referral process and ensure effective patient onboarding
  • Track referral data, analyze trends to optimize outreach strategies, and maintain accurate CRM records of clinician interactions and referrals
  • Contribute to development and refinement of the PRM playbook, identify new clinician partnership opportunities, develop targeted outreach campaigns, and participate in industry events

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in provider relations, healthcare business development, or a similar role
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding referral growth or business development targets
  • Strong relationship-building skills with primary care and specialist providers and office staff
  • Comfort with consistent local travel throughout the Chicago metro area
  • Proficiency with CRM and referral tracking platforms
  • Familiarity with prior authorization process and payer dynamics is a plus
  • Experience and training as a health care provider is a plus
