About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assemble, solder, rework, and integrate electronic prototypes, printed circuit assemblies (PCAs), and cabling.
- Perform hardware bring-up, functional testing, and troubleshooting of prototype and production units.
- Build and maintain test fixtures, jigs, and benches for validation and production.
- Operate lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, soldering/rework stations).
- Support field-test preparation, kitting, and logistics for hardware deployments.
- Maintain accurate build records, as-built documentation, and component inventory.
- Mentor junior technicians and enforce ESD, safety, and quality practices.
- Partner with engineering to improve manufacturability and assembly processes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance – U.S. Citizenship required.
- Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of hands-on electronics assembly, rework, and test experience.
- Advanced soldering and rework skills, including fine-pitch and surface-mount work (IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 certification a plus).
- Proficiency with lab and test equipment and reading schematics, BOMs, and assembly drawings.
- Experience building and bringing up prototype hardware in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
