About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, manage, and grow a team of embedded software engineers, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
Own delivery of embedded software commitments across schedule, scope, and quality.
Provide technical guidance on embedded architecture, hardware/software integration, and engineering standards.
Partner with Product and Program Management to plan releases and allocate capacity.
Remove blockers, manage risk, and coordinate cross-functional dependencies with hardware, RF, and integration teams.
Establish and improve engineering processes, CI/CD, and code-quality practices.
Conduct design and code reviews; ensure adherence to security and MOSA standards.
Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance – U.S. Citizenship required.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of embedded software experience, including 3+ years managing engineering teams.
Strong technical foundation in embedded C/C++, Linux/RTOS, and hardware/software integration.
Proven track record delivering embedded products through the full lifecycle.
Experience with engineering processes, agile delivery, and team capacity planning.
Excellent leadership, communication, and mentorship skills.
