Responsible for overseeing Accounts Receivable, Cash, Investments, Membership Financial Reporting, Revenue Distribution, and Grants and Scholarships.
Manage Accounts Receivable, Cash, Investments, and Championship Accounting functions.
Assist in management of close activities, including performing and reviewing reconciliations, and providing guidance on financial reporting.
Assist in leading year-end closing and preparation for annual financial statement audit.
Prepare and review audit schedules.
Assist in preparation of consolidated financial statements and footnotes.
Work with external accounting firm to answer questions, perform follow-up, etc.
Assist in preparation of the Form 990 and other required tax filings.
Staff liaison for our banking and investment relationships.
Staff liaison for the Board of Governors Investment Subcommittee.
Administer approximately $600 million revenue distribution program to association membership.
Administer various grant and scholarship programs.
Administer formal and informal performance-related feedback to staff.
Special projects as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a certified public accounting (CPA) license.
Five to seven years of experience in accounting.
Oracle big plus.
Strong operational experience and process documentation experience.
Experience with accounts receivable, revenue accounting, financial reporting (financial statements/footnote preparate), audit background or experience, process workflows and narratives.
Management experience is preferred.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing).
Good organizational skills.
Strong Excel.
Financial reporting experience.
Public accounting (audit) experience is strongly preferred.
